On behalf of PARMER – Medipol University Parkinson's and Movement Disorders Center, in collaboration with the DBS Patients' Association, we are honored to present Parkinson on Canvas: The Art & Science of Neuro Legends, a landmark scientific and cultural initiative taking place on April 8–9, 2026, at the Istanbul Museum of Modern Art, in Istanbul, in the lead-up to April 11 – World Parkinson's Day. Conceived to raise global awareness of Parkinson's disease, the event is intentionally positioned at the intersection of science, art, and public visibility, in one of the world's most symbolically powerful cultural venues.
At the heart of the initiative lies the NeuroLab "My Way" Scientific Meeting on April 8 — a one-day, single-hall symposium held at Istanbul Museum of Modern Art, where global leaders in Parkinson's disease and movement disorders share personal scientific journeys, defining contributions, and the perspectives that have shaped the field. Designed as reflective sessions rather than conventional lectures, My Way brings together an exceptional concentration of scientific influence, positioning the meeting for consideration within a Guinness World Record framework as the natural outcome of assembling the field's most influential minds in the same time and place.
Despite the global prevalence and profound impact of Parkinson's disease, there is still no universally recognized visual or artistic representation that captures what this condition truly means—clinically, emotionally, and socially. Through Painting for Parkinson, scientific insight and lived experience are translated into visual expression on canvas, creating a permanent artistic work that gives Parkinson's disease a visible, human face and extends World Parkinson's Day awareness beyond science into the universal language of art.
